He was predeceased by: his mother Carole McGowans (Dove); and his grandparents, John, Alice McGowans, Clagett and Susie Dove.
He is survived by: his father John T. McGowans Sr. (Norma); his siblings, Janet Boston and Elrod McGowans; his aunts, Celeste Dove McPherson (Crawford), Lauren Dove, Patricia Whittington (Charles) and Edna McGowans; and his nieces and nephews, Tynesha Graves-Simms, Yesenia Boston, Elrod McGowans Jr. and Jayquon McGowans. He is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
