“I was greatly saddened to hear of the loss of my friend and classmate, Joe. We shared many activities: both of us in the band; me on trumpet, Joe on drums, and later also trumpet. We participated in track as pole vaulters - he made me look pathetic. We were on swim teams together: I was the better swimmer; he was the STAR, our team's diver. He was a better dancer; I was jealous. He had a great sense of humor and a tremendously out going nature! Competitor, friend, companion. RIP Joe!”
