Josephine Gross Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Gross in Annapolis, Maryland, born in Lothian, Maryland, who passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. John Wesley Parker and Carrie Parker; and her husband James. She is survived by: her children, Betty Savoy (late Briscoe), Barbara Ann Dorsey (John), James P. Gross, III (Bonita), Gail Gross Armstrong (Errol) and Keisha "KeeKee" Parker; her grandchildren, Josette "Penny" Hill (Clyde) of Briscoe, Savoy Jr., Chad Dorsey, Corey Dorsey, James "Jay" P. Gross IV, Terence "Terry" Gross (Jannah), Danita Armstrong, Kiriel Kerley, Kyren Kerley and Kayden Phillips; and her great grandchildren, Kierra Fields, Keith Fields, A'Corye Dorsey, Talia Gross, Lielle Gross, Donae Williams, Ka'Nyla Kerley, Kuaran Kerley and Kha'Mazi Kerley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reese & Sons Mortuary (1922 Forest Dr, Annapolis, MD 21401). A burial will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery (1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032).
