She was predeceased by: her husband Frank B. Chambers, Sr.; her parents, Benjamin Harris, Sr. and Suzanne Harris; her brothers, Benjamin Harris, Jr., Ralph Harris, Sr., Samuel Harris and John Harris; and her daughters, Dawn Parker and Jeannine Lynne Chambers.
She is survived by: her children, Leatrice Johnson (Aris), Racquel Brown (David), Francine Diggs (Jeffrey), Wanda Chambers and Frank Chambers, Jr. (Michelle); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Diggs, Jr., Gabrielle Diggs, Frank Chambers, III, Joshua Chambers, Samuel Brown, John Brown (Ruth Ann), Alisa Brown, India Brown (Ricky) and LaMeaka Johnson; her great grandchildren, Astrid, Irulan and Zuri Brielle Brown; her godchildren, Kimberley Harris, DorRaylin Ward, John Kelly, Gerald Anderson and Jason Ellison; her sisters, Joyce Dozier and Betsy L. Dotson; her sisters-in-law, Mary Harris, Jacqueline Harris and Brenda Harris; her niece Margaret Nick; and her caregivers, Gloria Mason and Shawn Best. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.
She never accepted donations for her service. However, when she would receive a donation, she would give half to the youth of the host church where she was speaking or to the organization for whom she was speaking for and the other half she would take back to her home church and donate to their youth or to one of their college students.
