We are sad to announce that, on November 27, 2024, at the age of 83, Madeleine Duncan Hughes of Annapolis, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Madeleine find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She is survived by: her husband George Hughes; her children, Andrew Duncan Hughes (Caroline Burson), Molly Wilmer (Billy), Bell Carty (Bill) and Liza Hall (Michael); and her sisters, Louise Lee Duncan and Isabel Duncan Hatchett. She is also survived by grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Hammond-Harwood House, 19 Maryland Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401.
