He was predeceased by: his sister Miriam Wasserman; and his parents, Harry Spierer and Rose Spierer. He is survived by: his wife Marion A. Spierer; his daughters, Jane Boutelle (John) and Susan Scribner; his stepchildren, Leslie DeVos (Jean-Paul LaFleur) and Keith Heilveil (Carol); and his grandchildren, India, Gabriel, Ally, Nicholas, Dana Rose, Jacqueline Weatherford (Sean), Catherine, Zachary and Lucas.
