He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Governor" Ravon and Pearl Christine Owens; his daughter Veronica Owens; his granddaughter Cauri Owens; and his sister-in-law Ursula Owens.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma "Annette" Owens; his children, Ronnette, Laronja, Candice and Kindeshanna Owens; his stepsons, Troy Dennis and Todd Thomas; his grandchildren, Malaya, Makira, Malik, Tay, Von, Tionna, Troi, Thomas, Taylin, Dakari, Skylar, Kamari, Iaisha, Cardarion and Laronja Jr.; his great grandchildren, Niaomi and Harley; his siblings, Reginald Owens (Dee) of Tennessee, Londell Owens of Tennessee, Carl Owens of Glen Burnie, Carla Clark (Alfonza) of Annapolis, Angelita Owens of Glen Burnie and Lavonna Cooper (Wendell) of Georgia; his aunt Delores Johnson; his uncles, Dan and Isaac "Ike" Johnson; his brothers-in-law, Charles "Pete" Johnson, Dr. Leslie "Pop" Mobray, Howard Mobray and Maurice Isaacs; his godchildren, Rhonda Ford, Charles Cook III and Keith Watkins; and his friends, Norman "Muskrat" Johnson, Kenneth Kirby, Robert "Blink" Lewis, Jeff Brown, Elton Snowden Sr. and Orlando Makell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family, friends.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, and State regulations, there will only be 60 persons allowed to attend the funeral.
