She was predeceased by: her father John Carroll; her husband Joseph Ronald Schaeffer; and her daughter JoAnn L. Mess. She is survived by: her mother Genevieve Carroll; and her children, Joseph Schaeffer, Deborah Jackson, Mary Hough, Karen Mitcheltree (Mark) and Ann Johnson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
