She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Smega and Margaret Smega. She is survived by: her husband Todd Esenwein; her sister Ann Bergstrom (Harry); her nephews, Brian (Katie) and Todd Bergstrom (Sarah); her great-niece Audrey; her great-nephew Blake; her sisters-in-law, Cynthia Esenwein and Leslie McNair (Bruce); her nephews, Marshal McNair (Kristin) and Bruce McNair Jr. (Sheridan); her brother-in-law Bob Fiddler (Danuta); and her nephews, David Fiddler (Erin) and Morgan Fiddler (Anna).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Chesapeake (hospicechesapeake.org) and the SPCA of Anne Arundel County (aacspca.org).
