She was predeceased by: her husbands, Melvin J. Shook Jr. and Robert Thorpe; and her parents, Charles W. Masenheimer and Helen J. McClister-Masenheimer. She is survived by: her children, Donna Everhart (John), Melvin J. Shook III, Melissa Tamayo (Carlos) and Rebecca Lowe (Kenny); her sister Linda Mullikin (Joseph); her grandchildren, John III, Katelyn, Meghann, Melvin IV, Joshua, Annaka, Grayson, Liam and Bria; and her great grandchildren, McKenna, Alanna, Collin, Harper, Sage and Daisy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ambrose Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1328 Sulphur Spring Rd, Halethorpe, MD 21227). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
