He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Schmidt and Elsie Rose Schmidt; his wives, Patricia and Ethel Schmidt; and his granddaughter Christina.
He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Titmas, Diane Strehan and David Schmidt; his children, Michael Schmidt (Karen) and Carol Wilson; his son-in-law Rick; his grandchildren, Ricky, Kate, Michael Jr., Brandon, Chad, Denver, Lorin, Ryan, Eden, Logan, Mason and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Adias, Dylan, Madylan, Cash, Josh, Finn, Lyla, Aaron, Miles and Rhodes.
