It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cantor Samuel Stal of Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cantor Samuel Stal to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Harry Ostrow; and his parents, Morris Stal and Dora Stal. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Stal; his children, Chaya "Phyllis Ribakow" Azer (Tuvia), Yossie Stal (Tami) and Naomi Stal Johnson (Ryan Johnson); his sister Sonia Ostrow; and his grandchildren, Shoshana Guggenheim (Shlomo), Miriam Kraut (Noach), Dovid Ribakow (Ayelet), Yaakov Ribakow (Avigail), Akiva Ribakow, Moshe Ribakow (Rachael), D'vora Lerner (Chesky), Ruthie Jhudovitz (Mordechai), Moishy Stal, Kimmie Stal, Heshy Stal, Momo Stal and Batya Nechama Johnson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208). A shiva was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 8:20 PM at the Family Residence (2903 Fallstaff Rd UNIT 206, Baltimore, MD 21209).
