She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Staten and Mary Frances Simmons; her children, Robert Lee Willis, Orlando Willis, Sr. and Sernatha M. Brown; her grandson Orlando Willis, Jr.; her great grandchild Davin L. Jones; her close friend Blanchie Simmons; and also, Marvin Willis and Claude Parker.
She is survived by: her children, Verna Patterson Shaw (Ronald) of Harrisburg, PA, Beverly Harris of Rocky Mount, NC, Eugene Willis of New York, NY, Christopher Alonzo Parker (Debbie) of Maryland, Moses Gary Parker (Regina) of Maryland and Henry Tyree Parker of Wilmington, DE; her sisters, Calrogers Moore of New Bern, NC, Lydia Pearl Gooding of New Bern, NC and Caroline Brock of Garner, NC; and her sister-in-law Elsie M. Staten of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren, her 13 great grandchildren, her four great great grandchildren.
