It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daranda Sherman (Baltimore, Maryland), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband David P. Sherman Sr.; her son-in-law John D. Platt Sr.; and her siblings, Wilbur D. Parks and Barbara J. McNeal. She is survived by: her children, Laurie Sherman Platt and David P. Sherman Jr.; her daughter-in-law Alisa Sherman; and her grandchildren, John D. Platt Jr. and Rachel Platt. She is also survived by extended family that includes in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
