He was predeceased by: his former wife Paula Ann Franklin; his brother Norman "Bobby" Franklin; his parents, Morris Franklin and Sadie Franklin; and his daughter Karen Franklin (Gary).
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Halle-Franklin; his children, Richard Franklin (Joyce), Mindy Halliday (Malcolm), Susan Garfinkel (Roy) and Lauren Smith (Shawn); his brother Allan Franklin (Ellen); his grandchildren, Pamela Franklin, Melanie Franklin (Jon Foster), Jennifer Franklin (David Sedei), Paul Halliday (Wendy Kanter), Megan Halliday (Bart Mundy), Kevin Halliday, Carli Ruffner (Josh), Abigail Franklin, Matthew Franklin (Sarah), Tyler Garfinkel, Hailey Garfinkel, Jack Smith and Kaya Smith; and his great grandchildren, Shai Foster, Waverly Halliday, Wade Halliday, Tucker Mundy, Hayden Ruffner and Harper Ruffner.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Sol Levinson's Chapel (8900 Reisterstown Rd, Pikesville, MD 21208). A reception was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 8:00 AM. For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
