He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Downing and Florine Downing (Thrower); and his siblings, Wayne Downing, Anthony'Tony'Downing and Deborah Downing.
He is survived by: his children, Kyle Flemings of Columbus, Ohio, Shanika Copeland of Chesapeake, Virginia, Alexandra'Allie'Downing of Wilmington, Delaware and Cameron Daughtry of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; and his siblings, Stanley Downing (Cheryl) of Harrington, Delaware and Runita Hill (Downing) of Hampton, Virginia. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dwayne to the Gospel & Groceries Food Bank, 3516 Winchester Drive, Portsmouth, Virginia, in memory will be appreciated.
