We announce the death of George Athas Sr. (Baltimore, Maryland), who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 88. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy Athas; his children, George Athas Jr., Christa Athas, Mark Athas (Sherry Laconchick) and Terri Sewell (Charles Sewell); his grandchildren, Ashley, Collin, Danielle, Courtney and Madison; his great grandchildren, John and George; and his parents, John Athas and Phoebe Athas.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (5829 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225).
