He was predeceased by: his brother Walter S. Bell; and his parents, George S. Bell Sr. and Joan Bell (DiCrispino). He is survived by: his wife Mary (Kampe); his children, Jeanne Meyer (Ted), Lynda Carey (Jay) and George Bell; his grandchildren, Andrew Meyer (Samantha), Steven Meyer, Rebecca Meyer, Jason Carey and Marissa Carey; and his great grandchildren, Cali Meyer and Nolan Meyer.
