She is survived by: her children, Ruth Sherwood, George D. Sherwood III, Linda Sherwood and Erickia Sherwood; her grandchildren, Amanda Sherwood, Brittney Sherwood, Abyan Allen, Anisah Allen, Cody Sherwood, Aseelah Allen and Aala Allen; and her sister Martha Hunt.
