He was predeceased by: his wife Barbie Dorsey; his parents, Charles Jones and Arvita Chew; his grandparents, Harvey Chew, Georgetta Chew and Frank Jones; his goddaughter Crystal Smith; his parents-in-law, Robert Pavolovich and Mary Pavlovich; his siblings, Timothy Jones and Rita Jones; his aunts and uncles, Dorothy Chew, Margaret Anne Savoy, Mary Maynard, Shirley Spriggs, Lawrence Chew, Roland Chew and Melvin Watkins; his cousins, Glory Rawlings, Sheila Chew, Eugina Parsons, Maria Gross, Turan Chew and Charles Powell; and his pet Kobe Chew.
He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Chew; his siblings, Charles Jones J. R., Robert Wilson, Glendora Jones-Cronwell, Joanne Jones-Skinner and Corey Jones; his aunts, Rev. Hattie McDuffie and Frances Brown; his sisters-in-law, Renne Anderson and Nellie Powell; his cousins, Linda Parker, Ronald Powell, Victoria Powell, Allen Chew, Cynthia Chew-Williams, Marsha Chew, Renee Spriggs and Joyce Spriggs; his nephews, Joseph McCauley, Kylen Burney, Tyson Jones and Austin Jones; his great-niece Jade Smith-Burney; and his great-nephew Kaidyn Smith-Burney.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home (313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Carter's United Methodist Church (6715 Old Solomons Island Rd, Tracys Landing, MD 20779).
