It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Welkie (Baltimore, Maryland), who passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Joseph J. Welkie, Sr.; the mother of her child Carolann M. Peck; her son-in-law Daniel Peck; her son Joseph Welkie, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Elaine Welkie; her grandchildren, Robert Peck (Darcey Peck), Mary Welkie and Joseph Welkie III; her great grandchildren, Savannah and Julianne Peck; her sister Emma Rusnack Kochel; and her sibling's child Lucielle Hosler.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's memory may be made to The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, Wilmer Development Office, 600 N. Wolfe St., Wilmer 112, Baltimore, MD 21287. Designate donations to Wilmer Bayview in the memo section.
