It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Mayfield in Baltimore, Maryland, born in Ruston, Louisiana, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pearl Mayfield and William Mayfield; and his brother Carl Mayfield. He is survived by: his daughter Robin Mayfield; his son-in-law James DeFilippo; his granddaughter Sydney DeFilippo; his former wife Gloria Mayfield; and his siblings, Paul, Ralph Mayfield (Marva), Carolyn Jones, Libby, Marie Fisher (Herb), Charles Mayfield (Cecilia) and Michelle Snowden (Greg). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
