He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Eddie" Owens and Ruth Cooper; and his siblings, Carolyn, Josephine, Gerald, Eugene, Rino and Avon.
He is survived by: his children, Inshallah "Big Baby" and Irraheem; his grandchildren, Jermol, Asia, Marlon, Carlton III, Jalil and Wakil; his siblings, Edward II, Ellsworth, Jerome, Jean "Teenie-Weenie" and Gloria; his brother-in-law Harrison; his grandson Duane; his sister-in-law Lueseta; and his nephew Omar.
