He was predeceased by: his father James W. Guthrie, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Clara E. Guthrie; his children, Joshua "Josh" Jacobs, James "Jimmy" Guthrie, IV, Holly Locklear, Alysha Guthrie and Samuel "Sammy" Guthrie; his sister Melissa Guthrie; his grandchildren, Jazla Larkins and LeAnne; and his significant other Baby. He is also survived by other loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards funeral expenses.
