She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Swauger and Grace Swauger (Bittinger); her husband Harold McAbee Brown; her son John Brown; her son-in-law Rodney Kowalczyk; and her siblings, Harold Swauger, Darrell Swauger and Mary Carper.
She is survived by: her children, Homer Ray Brown (Kathleen), Thomas J. Brown (Margaret), Judy Kowalczyk and Mary Cirri (Frank); her sister Norma Bittinger; her grandchildren, Robert Brown, Haley Brown, Christopher Brown, Chrissy Luckhardt, Dawn Kowalczyk, Sarah Mendiola and Nicholas Brown; and her great grandchildren, Cassi Brown, Elli Glass and Sebastion Brown.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
