He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Eugene Funkhouser and Isabell Adkins Funkhouser; and his wife Eileen Funkhouser. He is survived by: his daughters, Rachel Maffitt (Jay Maffitt) of Oceanside and Trish Funkhouser Jones of West Virginia; his siblings, Linda Adkins, Sherri Morris, Deb Davis, Monique Consoer and Mike Funkhouser; his grandchildren, Taran, Quincy, Reese Maffitt and Kara Funkhouser; and his great grandchild Jace Funkhouser. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (4109 Jerome Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
