He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Watts Bowers and Charles S. Bowers; his wife Lucette Edwards; his brother Charles S. Bowers Jr.; and his half-siblings, Madeline Watts, Lawrence and George Watts.
He is survived by: his daughter Carol Lucette Bowers; and his sibling's children, Nancy Watts Womack (Scott), Frances Bathhurst (Richard), Robin Bosley (Rhody), Karen Grottendick (Chuck), Dawn Doxzen (Michael), Byron Watts (Lyn) and Dwayne Edwards (Theresa).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family-Owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Blacksburg, SC 29702). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Towson United Methodist Church (501 Hampton Ln, Baltimore, MD 21286). A burial was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Woodside Cemetery (260 Guinn St, Clover, SC 29710).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Towson United Methodist Church.
