She is survived by: her children, James Carnes, Jr. (Van), Phyllis "Jeanie" Carnes and Jeffrey Carnes; her grandchildren, Jim Carnes III (Christine), Wendy Sunderland (Sean, Sr.) and Jeffrey Carnes Jr.; her great grandchildren, Jim Carnes IV (Sarah), Jenna Proctor (Collin), Sean Sunderland and Holly De Castro (Adriano); her great great grandchildren, Sean III and Ivy; and her brother Donald Ford.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home Inc. (3631 Falls Rd, Baltimore, MD 21211). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
