He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Markey; his son Scott Markey; and his siblings, Tom, Ed, Howard, Ronald and Gail.
He is survived by: his son Doug Markey (Valerie); his grandchildren, Julianna, Gianna, Kimmy and Preston; his nephew Tommy; and his niece Nora. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
