He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia G. Shuger; his son Scott Thaman Shuger; and his parents, Anna Shuger and Herman Shuger. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Shuger Hublitz and Nancy Shuger (Mark Colvin); his grandchildren, Dale Shuger, Zachary Hublitz, Joshua Hublitz, Anna Colvin and Jesse Colvin; his great grandchild Coleman Scott Colvin; his sister Harriet (David Schapiro); and his stepsister Susie Coven (Allen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
