We announce the death of Sherman Player of Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 64. Sherman will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Player and Marie Player; and his siblings, Thomasina "Regina" Player, Christopher Davis and Larry Player.
He is survived by: his brothers, Hall of Fame and Nolan Player (Tina) of Charlotte. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, fraternity brothers, church family, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Home Going Celebration Mar (1101 E North Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202). A wake was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
