He is survived by: his children, Pamela Platt (Jeffrey), Judy Finifter (Judge Michael) and Alan Straus (Lynn); his sibling Margot Terle (Paul); his grandchildren, Michael Platt (Channy), David Platt (Rabbi Ariel), Kevin Platt (Sarah), Joshua Finifter (Ilana), Jeremy Finifter (Hannah Marcin), Samantha Straus and Jason Straus; and his great grandchildren, Elisheva, Devorah, Naphtali, Michal and Hailey Platt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family and many dear friends.

“I am soo sorry to I called Walter today and sadly I was told it was the wrong number. I went searing to have my fears confirmed. Walter sold blinds to me a very long time ago and then he worked with me at Blinds to Go! He was a very dear man. I had the great opportunity to also meet Marion and hear endless stories about his family grandkids and precious granddaughter. He even called when he became a great grandfather!! Walter was a proud man and will be truly missed.”
