He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Joseph Michel and Dorothy Elizabeth Michel (Weidenbach); and his sister Barbara Simon (Nolan Simon). He is survived by: his wife Lydia Palmieri-Michel; his children, Zachary Michel and Lucia Michel (Andy Liberatoscioli); and his sister Sarah Hartmann (Andrew).
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bel Air-McComas Family Funeral Home (50 W Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barney's name to The Harford County Humane Society or The American Heart Foundation.
