She is survived by: her husband Brian Hickey; her children, Brianna Emhoff (David) and Patrick Joseph Hickey (Jessica); her grandchildren, Hailey Emhoff and Avery Emhoff; her sister Kathy Rus; her father Richard Berbig; her mother-in-law Elsa; and her pet Tanuki. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ellie's name to Forest Lakes Elementary School PTA.
