He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Ballard and Doris Ballard; and his siblings, John Ballard and Barbara Rose. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Ballard; his children, Kristi Sordillo (Thomas), Robin Ballard (Elia Pelios) and Ben Ballard (Laura); his siblings, Marilyn Drannan, Carolee Frakes and Lynn Ballard; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Evan, Grace, Will, James, Ben and Elise. He is also survived by his family, friends.
