She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph Borkoski, Sr. and Margaret Christina Borkoski (Petersen). She is survived by: her husband William Archie Chavis; her daughter Jessica Chavis; her stepchildren, Michael Joseph Chavis, Kathleen Marie Chavis and Mary Regina Matarozza; and her aunt Catherine. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Abingdon-McComas Family Funeral Homes (50 W Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens (200 E Padonia Rd, Timonium, MD 21093).
