He was predeceased by: his parents, Giobatta Truant and Assunta Truant (Dezorzi); his siblings, Aldo Truant and Fides Simms (Jimmy); Rita.

He is survived by: his sons, Vincent J. Truant (Karen) of Lutherville, MD, Gary J. Truant (Ellen) of Bel Air, MD, William F. Truant (Colleen) of Hunt Valley, MD and Thomas Reno Truant (Renata) of Bel Air, MD; his brother-in-law James J. D'Amario (Patricia) of Bel Air, MD; his grandchildren, Angela Carne (Tim), Elizabeth Snead (Tom), Stephanie Truant, William Truant (Jennifer), Andrew, Thomas, Steven Truant and Jason Eaton (Jasmine); his great grandchildren, Nicholas Vincent Carne and Jack Truant; and his sister-in-law Velma Truant of Detroit. He is also survived by several nephews and one niece.
