She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Martin Werner; and her siblings, Theresa Stray and Daniel Muczynski. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Werner, Jr. (Natalie), Denise Werner and Donna Werner; her granddaughter Brittany Ganong; and her sister Regina Lentz.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air (610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014). A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens (809 Rock Spring Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rita's name to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or Harford County Humane Society.
