He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Edward Utz and Gladys Marie Utz (Abbott); and his siblings, Shirley Sturgill and Edward Utz (Ann). He is survived by: his brother Gilbert Utz (late Emma); his stepsons, Eric Scott and Nathan Scott (Brittney); and his nephew Melvin Burke.
