He was predeceased by: his mother Ofelia Quiroa; and his son Carlos A. Quiroa. He is survived by: his wife Zoila Q.; his brother Julio Castro; his children, Alex Quiroa (KerriMiller) and Víctor Quiroa (Marisa Quiroa); his grandchildren, Diana, Jolie, Logan, Leonel, Mikheila and Shannon; his nieces, Nancy and Cindy; and his nephew Fabricio.

The family will organize a service in his memory at a later date and requests that instead of flowers they can donate to the library of.
