She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard King Truitt and Marguerite Ellen Truitt (Alexander Floyd Purnell); her children, Wesley Purnell and Aline Dennis; and her siblings, Luther Truitt, Thomas Truitt, Effie Purnell, Ruby Mills, Marie Waters and Aline Waters.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy Purnell of Salisbury, Alexandria Stanley of Salisbury, Patricia Whittington of Salisbury, James Purnell (Andrea) of Salisbury and Terry Purnell (Jacqueline) of Waldorf, Maryland; her sister Mable (Conwell Foreman); her sisters-in-law, Mary Francis Purnell and Elsie Truitt; and her daughter-in-law Sandy Purnell.
