She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Rob" Jarmon Sr. and Mildred "Midge" Jarmon Fooks; her husband Raymond Smith Sr.; her siblings, Robert Jarmon, Carson Brittingham, Clara Mae Giddins and Minnie Jarmon; her grandchildren, Myron Williams and Tamyra Savage; and her son-in-law Dwayne Purnell.

She is survived by: her children, Vaughn Jarmon (Sharon) of Salisbury, Annetta Williams (Robert) of Bishopville, Maureen Purnell (Clayton) of Berlin, Raymond Smith Jr. of Swedesboro, Jeanette Parker of Orlando, Maurice Smith of Woodbridge and Betty Harmon (Keith) of Dagsboro, Delaware; her adoptive daughter Elaine Pierce (Hosea) of Boynton Beach, Florida; and her sisters, Ina Jarmon of Berlin and Imogene Purnell of Alexandria, Virginia. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery (9836 Hotel Rd, Bishopville, MD 21813).
