He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard K. Bowen and Helen B. Emerson. He is survived by: his wife Glendola M. Bowen; his children, Dr. Corey Bowen (Darlene Jackson-Bowen), Jason Bowen (Shannon) and Arnishia Bowen; his siblings, Charles Franklin, Jr. (Janice), Darrell Tunnell (Chenchira), Tyrone Young, Harriett Johnson, Jacqueline Weary (Willie), Dr. Janice Love, Gregorita Smith (Sylvester) and Dr. Fran Franklin; his uncle John C. Briddell (Emma); his aunt Jane Briddell; and his mother-in-law Arnita Harris. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
