He is survived by : his mother Joyce Knapp Brooks; his children, Jeremy Brooks (Karen Farrer), John Brooks (Maryam Rashid), Joseph Brooks, Hollea Segura (Shane) and Arleigh Brooks; his sisters, Brenda Guthrie (Mike) and Benita Brooks (Long); and his grandchildren, Sophia Brooks, Hajra Rashid (Brooks), Caleb Brooks and Adlai Rashid (Brooks). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
