She was predeceased by: her parents, James Manuel and Irene Hudson Manuel; her husband Joe L. Sawyer; and her sister Marion S. Pierce. She is survived by: her son Jermaine Manuel; her stepchildren, Betty Sawyer, Barbara Tingle, Sheila Tingle, Cidney Blake (Geraldine) and Joe Tingle; her sibling's children, Barbara Jones (Benjamin), Shanika Manuel and Freemon Manuel; and her grandchildren, Zaniya Brewer, Braxton Manuel, Abigail Manuel, Lannie Fuller and Lonnie Fuller. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (405 Flower St, Berlin, MD 21811). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at the New Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery (10203 Germantown Rd, Berlin, MD 21811).
