With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy V. Shockley of Berlin, Maryland, born in Ocean City, Maryland, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Reese Benston and Viola Jester Benston. She is survived by : her husband Reverend Olin Shockley; her daughters, Debbie Abbott (Rodney Abbott) of Berlin, Diane Willoughby of Berlin and Denise Williams (J. H.) of Berlin; and her grandchildren, Harry Harris, III (Michelle Mingarelli), Alison Willoughby (Alex McRae), Brittany Nwadiashi (Justin), Heather Layton (Ray), Kristie Williams and Beau Williams (Marie). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Communtiy Church of Ocean Pines (11227 Racetrack Rd, Berlin, MD 21811). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park.
