He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Edward Donaway and Olevia Rosina Donaway (Lewis); his wife Shirley Ann Donaway; and his children, Myrna Kay Reid, Johnny Ray Donaway and Michael Donaway.
He is survived by: his great great grandchild Samiya Lynn; his children, Jeannette Fay Gaunt (Richard) and David Donaway; his sister Barbara Adkins; his grandchildren, Joanie Reid, Richard Reid, Daniel Reid, Tiffani Harris, Everett Jack Gaunt and David Donaway; and his close friend Mark Phillips (Mary).
