With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melva A Hill of Berlin, Maryland, who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 104. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Crumble and Augusta Crumble; her former husband Roland Sampson; her husband John D. Hill; and her siblings, Ella Louise, Blanch, Daisy, Willie, Audrey, Naomi, Helen, Alvin, Danny, Raleigh, Arville, Lacey, Leon, James and Medford.
She is survived by: her son John Damian Hill of Delmar, MD; her grandchildren, Shykia "KiKi" Roach of Seaford, DE and Damian Hill of Seaford, DE; her great grandchild Micaiah Beck of Seaford, DE; her niece Tracy Grubbs (Moses); her caregiver Wanda "Vicki" Molock (Danny); her great-niece Catia Darden; and her nephews, Joseph (Denise) and Gregory McCray (Carol). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Framptom Funeral Home - Federalsburg (216 N Main St, Federalsburg, MD 21632). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (108 1st St, Bridgeville, DE 19933).
