We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2024, at the age of 25, Vaughn Dakota Carey III of Berlin, Maryland, born in Salisbury, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his uncle Richie Smith; his grandfathers, Vaughn Carey Sr. and Richard Smith; and his great-grandparents, Janet Horak and Roxie Shortt.

He is survived by : his parents, Vaughn Carey II of Berlin, MD and Stephanie; his parent-in-law Jamie Shannon of Quantico, MD; his brother Riley (Morgan McCabe); his nieces, Nora and Ella of Berlin, MD; his sister Emma Carey of Ocean City, MD; his grandmother Debbie Smith; his cousin Chance Smith of Covington, LA; and his grandparents, Walter and Gail West of Berlin, MD.. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many cherished lifelong friends.
