He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Horowitz and Gloria Horowitz. He is survived by: his sibling Laurie Horowitz Kelderman; his wife Barbara; his daughters, Andrea Leichtman (Jerry Newmeyer) and Lexie (Brian Doud); and his grandchildren, Madison, Grant Leichtman, Carson, Jackson and Drew Doud.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in Allan's honor to the American Cancer Society and the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, MD.
